I am Simon Rauchbart, an industrial designer and architect from munich, with a wide range of experiences in different disciplines, especially freeform modeling and rendering still and motion. During the last years I have worked in Germany and Singapore on innovative and leading research projects in the the fields of urban mobility and transportation design.

At the moment I am employed at „Technische Universität München – Chair of Industrial Design“ working on the project Visio.M as head of design and manager for interior and exterior development. Aside I am freelancing on smaller projects, creating 3d models and visualisations for architectural offices, universities and design studios.

Fell free to have a look at my portfolio and let me emphasize the following three projects:
My diploma thesis „Gemini – Future Mobility in the Metropolitan Area of Singapore“ analyses mobility in the urban and social structure of Singapore and shows a flexible vehicle within a mobility concept for metropolitan areas.
In the Project „Mute – Tum Electric Mobility“ I designed and developed Interieur and Exterieur from scratch to class-A surfaces ready for production of cfk- or respectively rapid prototyping parts. The resulting Showcar exhibited on the International Motor Show IAA 2011 in Frankfurt and led to the follow-on research project Visio.M, fundend by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).

I am always open to new experiences and knowledge in order to expand my horizons regarding design, architecture, new tools and life. Currently, I’m available for design projects as well as offers for a permanent position. Have a look at my portfolio and feel free to get in touch, if you have a project you would like me to work on.
